Nutrition

Fresh water is available to the children at all times and no squash is served. Organic, whole milk is provided for the children. We also provide vegetarian and halal meals on request.

The mid morning snack consists of a variety of fruit.

Lunch is always a freshly prepared, balanced hot meal and examples of our four-weekly menus are available at the nursery. All meals are served with vegetables.

A balanced tea is served mid-afternoon and is designed to encourage the children to try new foods. During the winter months tea is usually a hot meal such as soup or baked beans on toast whilst in the warmer months cold meals such as sandwiches or vegetables and dips are served.

Our menus have been approved by a nutritionist, and are reviewed regularly with the aim of providing fresh, balanced meals to all children at each meal or snack time. An example menu is shown below:
